The transformation of the business climate and lending to small and medium-sized businesses were discussed at the Congress of the leaders of the Russian public association “Opora Rossii” (Support of Russia)

The Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev made a presentation “Transformation of the business climate in the field of intellectual property” at the Congress of the leaders of the Russian public association “Opora Rossii” (Support of Russia). According to him, the main priority of Rospatent is the creation of comfortable conditions for innovative activities of companies and the compliance of the Office with the rapid changes in the economy, the level of development of science and technology, including through large-scale work on the implementation of information technologies. Grigory Ivliev spoke in detail about digital services, thanks to which entrepreneurs can interact with Rospatent on the protection of Intellectual Property Rights, as well as on the Office's activities in the field of legal regulation within the framework of the “Roadmap” approved by the Government for transforming the business climate in the field of Intellectual Property. The “Roadmap” provides for a number of measures to eliminate tax barriers: reducing the tax on the profits of organizations from the disposal of the rights to the Results of Intellectual Activity under a license agreement, reducing the tax on profits when organizations acquire rights to breeding achievements within the framework of research and development, computer programs, databases, topology of integrated circuits under an alienation agreement or a license agreement, etc. The Head of Rospatent also noted the importance of providing Rightholders with the opportunity to register trademarks and industrial designs in the Eurasian region.
