State Duma allowed copyright holders to obtain patents in electronic form

The State Duma on 02/18/2020 adopted in the first reading a government bill that will allow copyright holders to obtain patents in electronic form, with the exception of patents for secret inventions, and will also make it possible at registering subjects of intellectual property: to attach three-dimensional models to documents related to inventions, utility models, industrial designs and trademarks. The government bill was prepared as part of the Federal project “Normative regulation of the digital environment” under the National Program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”.
