The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called for speeding up adoption of a project on “regulatory sandboxes”

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during a video conference on communications and the IT industry, called on the Government and the State Duma to expedite the adoption of the bill on “regulatory sandboxes”. On March 17, 2020, a government bill was submitted to the State Duma, which envisages the creation in Russia of experimental legal regimes in the field of digital innovations - “regulatory sandboxes” - for the accelerated emergence and introduction of new products and services in the field of digital technologies. We are talking, in particular, about artificial intelligence, neuro- and quantum technologies. It is assumed that the creation of such “regulatory sandboxes” will ensure the development of science and the social sphere, new types of economic activity, the development of competition, as well as the creation of a common regulatory system based on the results of experimental legal regimes.
