TASS: Rospatent has registered the regional brand “Made in Kuzbass”
Following the examination of the TM application filed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Kemerovo Region (another official name of the region is Kuzbass), Rospatent registered a trademark “Made in Kuzbass”.
Both food and non-food products will be able to bear the mark. The State Regional Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Testing in Kemerovo Oblast (the Center) will decide on the award of the brand to the producers. To qualify for the use of the trademark, a producer must be located in Kuzbass and use local raw materials for its products. Furthermore, a lab test proving a product meets certain quality criteria must be performed by the Center.
The regional authorities, for their part, will strive to popularize the “Made in Kuzbass” brand.
