RBK compiled a rating of the most popular franchises in the Russian Federation

RBK by using Rospatent data for 2020, compiled a rating of the most dynamically developing franchises in the Russian Federation. The franchise's place in the ranking is determined by the number of contracts concluded in 2020. If this indicator is the same for two different trademarks, then the franchise that leads in the total number of contracts for all years takes the higher place. When companies register several trademark names in one agreement at once, the rating reflects the most popular name. The concept of "franchising" is absent in Russian legislation. To create franchise networks, different legal forms are used: agency and licensing agreements, supply agreements, etc. The only format legally identical to a franchise agreement in foreign countries is a Commercial Concession Agreement (CCA, Franchising Agreement). All concession and subconcession agreements must be registered with Rospatent.
