Rospatent will develop a system comparing 3D models of intellectual property
According to the Deputy Head of Rospatent Yuri Zubov, the Office is developing a new information system that will compare the 3D models applied for registration of intellectual property objects with three-dimensional images of protected solutions.
The comparison will also be carried out with two-dimensional images, stored in the information databases of Rospatent. The system will involve artificial intelligence technologies: machine learning, construction of descriptors-histograms and Siamese networks. In February 2021, Rospatent first received an application for an invention in which domestic inventors characterized their solution using a 3D model.
