TASS: Technologies to combat COVID-19 registered by Rospatent
According to Oleg Neretin, Director of FIPS, within a year Rospatent received 680 applications for inventions aimed to combat coronavirus infection, including new antiviral agents, vaccines and test systems. Of these, 219 patents were granted by Rospatent. Applications for the rest are pending.
As noted earlier by Grigory Ivliev, Head of Rospatent, the average time for processing applications for inventions to combat coronavirus constituted 22 days. To speed up this process, a special procedure for considering said applications was developed.
