V. Putin Demanded to Provide Registration of the Rights of Russia to the Vaccine against COVID-19
According to the statement of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the meeting on the development of genetic technologies, it is necessary to formalize in advance the intellectual rights of the Russian Federation to the vaccine against coronavirus, which is planned to be registered in September. Rinat Maksyutov, director general of the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology VECTOR of Rospotrebnadzor, claimed that the organization would complete preclinical studies of possible prototypes of the coronavirus vaccine in June. After that, it plans to switch to clinical trials on 300 volunteers, and in September, VECTOR plans to register the finished product.
