The Patent Activity Increased by 23%, to 7.1 Thousand Applications in the First Quarter - Rospatent

According to the head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev, the Patent Office recorded an increase in patent activity in the first quarter of 2020: an increase in the number of applications for inventions - by 23%, i.e. 7.1 thousand applications, increase in the number of applications for industrial designs - by 47%, more than 1.85 thousand applications, increase in the number of applications for utility models - by 11%, more than 2.2 thousand applications, and applications for trademarks - by 7.9%, more than 21 thousand applications. The Head of Rospatent also noted that additional measures are being developed to normalize economic activity and the activity of applicants regarding their interaction with Rospatent.
