Government extends patent fees until end of year
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree according to which the deadline for the payment of patent fees is extended until the end of 2020. In April 2020, the Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev said that the Office proposed to extend terms for paying the applicants' fees for the entire period of this year. The extension relates to the applicant’s actions required to obtain patents for an invention, industrial design and utility model, registration of an appellation of origin, trademark and service mark. Rospatent accepts applications for respite.
