RIA News: Russia ranked 27th in the UN rating for innovation development readiness

According to the report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, published on February 25, 2021, Russia ranked 27th out of 158 in terms of readiness to implement and apply advanced technologies. To assess countries' abilities to equitably use, implement and apply advanced technologies, a “readiness index” consisting of five elements was compiled in the report. RF index constituted 0.75 points. In terms of implementation of information and communication technologies Russia takes 39th place, in terms of state of knowledge - 28th place, in terms of R&D level - 11th place, in terms of use of advanced technologies in the industry - 66th place and in terms of availability of financing for innovations - 45th place.
