Parliamentary newspaper: Payments of remuneration for service inventions will triple

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a Decree on rewarding more employees who offer innovative developments and solutions useful for business. According to the new rules, for the employer's use of an employee's Invention, Utility model, Industrial design, the employee who is their author is paid remuneration in the amount of three average salaries (previously, in the amount of one salary) for the last 12 calendar months when the development was used. The rules apply in situations where an appropriate agreement has not been concluded between the employer and the employee. It is noted that this decision was made within the framework of the implementation of the roadmap for transforming the business climate in the field of Intellectual Property and is intended to stimulate creativity and development of the Intellectual Property market.
