Live vaccine for monkeypox prevention
A team of scientists at the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology “Vector” has developed a new attenuated (live) anti-smallpox vaccine of the fourth generation.
The new vaccine is based on a recombinant VAC 6 strain. The modern approach consists of introducing targeted mutations by genetic engineering methods that modify the genes controlling the body’s defense responses against viral infection, the range of susceptible hosts of the virus, etc.
This new invention is a safe vaccine against smallpox and other human orthopoxviral infections with high immunogenic and protective activity.
Patent number: 2781211
The invention can be used to scan identity documents, to read and authenticate credit cards, financial documents, and other protected documents.
The existing similar scanners are either much larger due to the significant size of the optical unit needed to obtain a good quality image without glares, or provide inferior image quality.
This invention solves the above-mentioned deficiencies; it provides high-quality images of scanned documents due to the design of the optical scanning unit, eliminating the formation of glares, reflections, and other lighting artifacts. Furthermore, it is compact and has built-in battery, so it may be used as a mobile device.
