Rospatent and EAPO outline prospects for Eurasian integration

On May 17, 2021, the head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev met with the President of the Eurasian Patent Organization Saule Tlevlessova at the Eurasian Patent Organization Headquarters.

The parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation, including updating the legal framework for cooperation between the Offices in the field of industrial designs and cooperation in the area of IT.

Much attention was paid to the initiatives in the field of Eurasian integration, such as the creation of the Eurasian pharmaceutical register, the development of mechanisms for dispute resolution related to regional IP rights, as well as the development of the institute of Eurasian patent attorneys.
