Rospatent summed up the results of the first three months of 2021 and named the five most interesting inventions in the field of medicine made during this time. According to the Head of the Department Grigory Ivliev, Rospatent creates a comfortable environment for interaction with applicants that meets modern realities: accelerated consideration of applications related to socially significant inventions in the field of medicine, the ability to visually represent the claimed technical solution using 3D models, as well as obtaining titles of protection in electronic form. FIPS experts have selected five inventions that can be considered the most interesting in the field of medicine in the first quarter of 2021: 1) A new monoclonal antibody of the mouse IgM isotype which has a neutralizing activity and is capable of binding the S protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (No. 2744274); 2) 3D-matrix structure for drug delivery (No. 2740287); 3) CRISPR-Cas system for detecting the antibiotic resistance gene blaVIM-2 (metal-beta-lactamase class B VIM-2) Pseudomonasaeruginosa in ultra-low concentrations (No. 2743861); 4) A method for diagnosing breast cancer by the level of mRNATGEβ and TNFα in blood plasma (No. 2742209); 5) Complex for the detection and targeted destruction of cells (No. 2743993).
