Director General of Rospatent Dr. Boris Simonov took part in the BRICS counties’ conference "Creating and Leveraging Intellectual property in Developing Countries"

On 18-th November 2013, during the Conference "Creating and Leveraging Intellectual property in Developing Countries" (Johannesburg, SA, November 17-20, 2013), the BRICS Heads of IP Offices took part in the panel session, held in the format of a videoconference, on the initiatives of BRICS IP Offices to support innovation.

During the panel session, the Director General of Rospatent Dr. Boris Simonov made a presentation.

Dr. Simonov emphasized the importance of promoting innovation in BRICS countries and reported on the Rospatent project "E-patent examiner", which provides for the new approaches to patent examination by applying modern breakthrough IT solutions.
