PURPOSE: |
To study fast-flowing processes accompanied by the transmission of a light signal, in particular, to record the process of triggering electric detonators forming spark discharges. |
INNOVATION: |
The main advantage of the proposed method and device is that they allow to obtain two parameters with high accuracy in one experiment – the response time of both each electric detonator and tested group of electric detonators. This is ensured due to the fact that frequency-stabilized timestamps are used, which form the initial light signals at the time of receipt of the initiating pulse simultaneously to all the studied electric detonators. These light signals are recorded by a sensitive photographic film. The data obtained enables the quality improvement of complex mechanisms in which such actuators are used. |
SCOPE |
This invention can be used in research laboratories developing new types of actuators, in particular, electric detonators, used in blasting operations at mining enterprises, civil, industrial, reclamation and energy construction facilities. |
