The trajectory of the autonomous vehicle should be safe to avoid any collision with other objects. Moreover, the trajectory should provide a smooth and comfortable maneuver. The solution proposed in the invention allows real-time selection of the best and safest trajectory for an autonomous vehicle. To do this, the sensor system is installed on the vehicle which collects information about surroundings including other vehicles or a person walking on the road. Based on the information collected, the system generates, ranks and categorizes potential trajectories which allows to identify the safest trajectory that provides smooth safe maneuver. The technology proposed for trajectory determination involves the use of machine learning algorithms. |
