INNOVATION: |
Nowadays urban greening including the artificial roof surfaces ignites a lot of interest. Greened urban roofs can be used for resting as well as for improving the ecological situation in a metropolis. In the process of greening the main requirements are addressed towards the quality of a substrate for growing the plants. It is supposed to retain a sufficient amount of water which is needed for plants nutrition and at the same time to prevent the negative effect water may have on a roof of a building. For solving all the problems posed there is a substrate introduced which contains brick chips, a liquid humic organo-mineral fertilizer, a drainage component, and a mineral supplement. The thermally modified zeolite-containing tripol of Khotynetskoe’s origin serves for a mineral supplement. It is a source of water-soluble silicon which is easily absorbed by plants and which contributes to their sustainability in the conditions of adverse environmental factors. The substrate introduced provides increased fire safety and high moisture capacity and contains a higher proportion of silicon available for plants. |
