PURPOSE: |
For protection of spacecraft surfaces from external influences, in particular from the thermal and shortwave ultraviolet radiation of the Sun. |
INNOVATION: |
During the flight in space a spacecraft is exposed to many negative effects, such as temperature fluctuations, deep vacuum, intense ionizing radiation (electron, proton and UV-radiation). Thermal and shortwave ultraviolet radiation from the Sun have the most adverse effect. The invention allows to form a coating on the surface of aircraft for protection against thermal and shortwave radiation. For this purpose, a coating layer of a certain thickness and viscosity is applied on the surface a spacecraft; the said coating layer is then grooved, and over it the composition is sprayed which forms a high-adhesion thermo-regulating coating. The resulting coating has a low solar radiation absorption coefficient, which will ensure long-term operation of spacecraft. |
SCOPE |
Space and nuclear industry; the invention can be used to protect space objects from the adverse effects of space, to cover devices that operate in conditions of increased radioactivity or electromagnetic radiation. |
