Aerial refueling allows to significantly prolong flight time,providing the necessary flight range. Devices for pumping fuel and drainage of aircraft fuel systems, in particular, refueling pods (RP) must have a simple and reliable design of the squeeze fuel valve. It provides fuel supply to the RP when refueling in the air and stopping the fuel supply when the RP is discharged. In this invention, the valve is made in the form of two bodies inserted into each other so that angular movement on a spherical surface is possible. A fuel channel is formed between the bodies. The valve of this design opens when the inner body is connected to the receiver of the pumped fuel. Due to the simplicity of the design of the squeeze fuel valve, its reliability, ease of maintenance and repair increases. The hinged pair allows to compensate for the mounting deviations that occur when the tip of the flying boom is docked with the receiver of the pumped fuel. |
