XVI International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies "New Time"

The XVI International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies "New Time" opened in Sevastopol on September 24. The main topic of this year's edition is "Sustainable Development in the Time of Change".
The event was co-organized by the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers, Rospatent, Government of Sevastopol, Russian Astronautical Federation, Association "Cluster for Energy Efficiency" (Sevastopol), International Innovation Club "Archimedes" (Moscow), World Forum of Inventors and Researchers (Bucharest), International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) and other organizations.
The Salon serves as a platform for showcasing achievements in innovative products, building partnerships between researchers and businesses, and commercializing research results.
XV International Youth Innovation and Development Competition "New Time" will take place within the Salon. The best inventors will be awarded diplomas and medals, and prizes.
Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev and Director of the Russian Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) Oleg Neretin welcomed the Salon participants.
"Dear inventors, Salon participants, we are pleased that Rospatent annually participates in the Salon. This event is obviously of great importance to us. The fact that inventors from many regions attend the Salon to showcase what they have created is extremely important. These inventions should be used in the economy. It is equally important that the Salon provides inventors with an opportunity to receive feedback and gain recognition. An inventor has an opportunity to obtain feedback from all over the country. The conventional priority is set for 6 months. Thus, the inventor who has demonstrated his/her invention during the exhibition has the right to file an application to Rospatent within the next 6 months. And we will recognize such a priority claim, which was officially announced during the Salon’s opening. We highly value that Sevastopol and Crimean inventors submit dozens of applications for inventions", - said Mr. Ivliev.
