Further Development of IP Ecosystems Discussed within WIPO Program of Work and Budget for 2022-2023


On June 22, 2021, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) General Director Daren Tang hold a briefing with national Intellectual Property Offices.

Mr. Tang presented the proposed drafts of the Medium-Term Strategic Plan for 2022-2026, the Program of Work and Budget for 2022-2023.

According to Rospatent Head Grigory Ivliev, who took part in the event, the Russian Office “is interested in seeing WIPO open a broad expert dialogue on the governance, IP assessment and the use of patent analytics.

WIPO recommendations should be formulated on specific measures to build national balanced IP ecosystems.” Rospatent supported the projects aimed at continuing the processes of digitalization and multilingualism, including expanding the language regime of the Madrid and Hague systems.
