Rospatent proposes to draw up a profile of the regions using Rosatent analytics

According to the report of the Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev on March 3, 2021 at the congress of the leaders of «Opora Russia» (a Russian NGO for SMEs), Rospatent proposes to carry out analysis of regions’ development programs, products of industrial enterprises as well as research projects implemented by universities and organizations.

The first region to undergo this analysis is planned to be Kemerovo Oblast. The result of the analysis will be an album of domain-specific patent landscapes, made on the basis of monitoring the target indicators of the region’s State Programs and identifying promising areas and the best technical solutions in the field of development priorities.

Within the framework of domain-specific patent landscapes studies of interdisciplinary technologies, products and services that emerge at the intersections of technological trends will be performed. Furthermore, assessment of the place of domestic enterprises in the supply chain of competitive products’ manufacture will be carried out and the potential for import substitution will be identified.
