Grigory Ivliev delivered a Lecture to the Participants of the I Winter School of Foreign Law of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University

The lecture of the Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev for the participants of the I Winter School of Foreign Law of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University was dedicated to the development IP under current conditions, modernization of legal regulation and digital transformation of Rospatent's activities.

Mr Ivliev noted that one of the main directions of digitalization of Rospatent is creating an advanced platform for searching and analyzing the data on IP objects. Furthermore, he mentioned the innovations in civil law: involving the Rospatent-accredited organizations in the process of conducting preliminary information search and evaluating patentability in the framework of examination of applications for inventions and utility models; introducing examination of three-dimensional models of IP objects starting from January 17, 2021, etc. The immediate plans include joining the Lisbon System for the International Registration of Appellations of Origin and Geographical indications. Rospatent is working on forming a common Eurasian space for the legal protection of trademarks and appellations of origin.
